How was 2018?  Was it a great year for you?  Did you so things you loved?  Did you achieve things which were important for you?

If you did – way to go, awesome, well done!  What do you want in 2019?  Decide what you want, set targets and make a plan to achieve those next things.

If you didn’t, consider this: “our results are a consequence of our actions”, or, to paraphrase – “if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got”.  Unless you change what you do, you will likely get similar results in 2019.

If we want different results, we have to do different things.

We also have to know what we want and plan to get that.  If we have no plan, we will become an unwilling participant in someone else’s plan!

So I invite you to try this:

  • Decide what you want to achieve in 2019.  If you don’t know – decide what you DON’T want and find the opposite of that!
  • Decide what targets or goals you would like to set for yourself that will result in what you want.
  • Think about what actions  you will need to take to achieve those goals.
  • Schedule those actions in every single day – starting tomorrow (or today if you can!).

If that sounds a little tricky and you’d like some help to get started, as part of my coaching practice I’m holding a Plan Your Year workshop on January 12th in Old Buckenham.  The cost is just £46 for the whole day.  You can find more details here.
