Massage improves sleepA new client returned this morning for his second treatment.  He had come about searing pains in his shoulder, neck and upper back.  His feedback from the first session was great – much reduced pain in his shoulder and long periods with almost no symptoms at all.

But what struck me most was that he said he had had “the best night’s sleep since I don’t remember when”.

I am blessed with the gift of being able to nod off anywhere, anytime and I forget the power of great sleep.

Sleep refreshes us mentally, physically and emotionally and is essential for great physical and mental performance and a happy, productive day.

But for those who have difficulty sleeping, nighttime can become a time of tiredness, anxiety and frustration.  Their experience often is sleeping poorly, waking tired and lacking energy to face the day.

So massage can also improve the quality of your sleep – something else to add to the long list of benefits of the oldest healing practice on the planet.
